Middle East bank
Payments and approvals for a bank’s corporate clients, in Arabic and English
Background
The bank wanted to test a new corporate-banking experience: payment initiation and multi-level approval for its corporate clients, in Arabic and English.
- Client
- One of the largest banks in the Middle East
- Role
- Design Director
- Agency
- TELUS Digital, formerly WillowTree
- Timeline
- 9 weeks: 5 onsite
Summary
I led design on TELUS Digital’s first project in the region: a nine-week proof of concept for corporate payments and approvals at one of the largest banks in the Middle East. We spent five of those weeks onsite, running eight discovery interviews, user testing and a design direction and UX workshop with the bank’s teams.
From that research we shaped three product directions. I took one to a high-fidelity prototype, presented it to the bank’s leadership, and laid the design-system foundations for the bank’s wider platform portfolio: React and React Native, Arabic right-to-left and WCAG accessibility.
